Chris Colohan may currently be hollering for hard rock-influenced punkers Burning Love, but back in the '90s, the singer shared vocal duties with Stephe Perry in the blazing hardcore unit Countdown to Oblivion. Just in case you missed out on snagging any releases back in the day, A389 Records has announced a new retrospective compilation will be released this March.
The collection will include Countdown to Oblivion's nine-song demo tape on one side of the vinyl-only release and all of their seven-inches on the flip. According to a Facebook post from the group, the compilation will also include liner notes detailing the history of the band, as well as lyrics and a photo collage. It will also feature a gatefold cover.
Described as "a 'supergroup' of sorts," the band's membership included members of Cursed, Left for Dead, One Blood, Legion DCLXVI, Rammer, Brutal Knights, Teen Crud Combo and more. You can check out a stream of Countdown to Oblivion's "Spray P.E.C." down below.
In Burning Love news, the band have finished recording their Southern Lord debut, which is slated for a May release. The band also announced a new seven-inch on High Anxiety Records that will feature original number "Karla" on the A-side and a cover of Laughing Hyenas' "Love's My Only Crime" on the B-side.
