Central Coast band STAUNCH have announced they are breaking up after being a band for 5 years.
The band recently released a new EP through Best Wishes Records titled "Impulse To Destroy".

About five years ago my brother asked me to sing in his joke hardcore band that practised in my cousins smoked out loungeroom in Muswellbrook. I barely even knew what hardcore was but was going through some shit & needed a different positive outlet rather then falling back into drugs & alcohol, something to occupy me and keep me distracted so I agreed.
A lot happened over those five years so much I could write a fucking book about it but in short we travelled all over the place playing nearly any and every where we could, wrote some songs about what pissed me off then eventually about how I pissed myself off, changed heaps of members, shared the stage with some of the biggest hardcore bands in the world and got to make so many great memories but mostly importantly I met a tonne of beautiful and wonderful people I never would have through hardcore people who I will love & be friends with forever. People who helped me change & grow and become a better person and I can't thank them enough for that.
We are gonna be touring with our good friends in September which may be the last chance for any of you to catch us again, we will play a couple of shows to round of the year but then this band will go on an indefinite hiatus.
Thanks to anyone who supported this band in one way or another it's been real & without y'all then this whole journey wouldn't have been as fun as it was.
