Hombres

Legendary Brisbane 80s thrash band INSANE HOMBRES have announced they will be releasing a 4 song 7 inch of an unheard demo recording.

From the band...

"Many years ago in this dysfunctional town there was a band known as the INSANE HOMBRES which formed out of the ashes of bands such as Psycho Circus and Reality Damage in the second half of the 80's, playing flat-out edge of your seat hardcore punk akin to that of Poison Idea or The Accused (in our humble opinion) with their motto of "Louder, Harder, Faster".

They released only one record officially in 1988, a 12" EP titled "To The Core" which has become a cult classic amongst many an Australian record collectors and infamously praised by punks and metalheads alike that had the chance to see them back in the day.

Now nearly 30 years on since the band called it quits, they've dug up the original reel-to-reel tapes of a "demo" recording of sorts from 1987 before going down to Sydney and recording "To The Core" with Godfather of Hardcore, John Hresc.

This recording will now see the light of day as a 4 song 7" self-released by the band on their own label with help from their long time friend Andy of Kwala Skates, in memory of Terry McDougall (R.I.P.), bass player of Insane Hombres, Dreamkillers, Pictish Blood and Reality Damage who passed a few years ago, a brilliant bass player who utilised a strictly up-stroke method of playing his bass."

A Brisbane launch party is scheduled for December, info over here.
