Legendary psychobilly trio Nekromantix announces the release of their ninth studio album, A Symphony of Wolf Tones & Ghost Notes. Set for an October 21st release via Hellcat Records, the Denmark-born band’s latest delivers a timelessly gritty fusion of rock-and-roll, punk, and rockabilly. As the follow-up to 2011’s What Happens in Hell, Stays in Hell, A Symphony of Wolf Tones & Ghost Notes also shows a darkly romantic sensibility shaped by their love of monster, zombie, vampire, werewolf, and B-horror fiction.
Today Nekromantix shares their first single from A Symphony of Wolf Tones & Ghost Notes: “Glow in the Dark,” whose rollicking psychobilly sound reveals the band’s reverence for the genre’s origins while reveling in the electric catharsis of unadulterated fun.
With his signature coffin bass and chilling baritone, frontman Kim Nekroman founded Nekromantix in Copenhagen in 1989. Nekromantix fast emerged as a feverishly cherished underground act, first unleashing their unstoppable debut Hellbound in 1989 and later turning out such acclaimed albums as 2002’s Return of the Loving Dead (the band’s subcultural breakthrough).
Now California-based and featuring guitarist Francisco Mesa and drummer Adam Guerrero, Nekromantix builds off a catalogue boasting genre classics like “Who Killed the Cheerleader?” and “Gargoyles Over Copenhagen” to boldly expand their legacy on A Symphony of Wolf Tones & Ghost Notes. Having recently headlined the So-Cal Hoedown in Santa Ana, Nekromantix will tour the world this year and next.
