ROTTING OUT / MINORITY UNIT singer Walter Delgado (aka Wally Edge) and Anthony Jochum, guitarist of SEARCH BLOC have been arrested and charged with drug trafficking in Ohio after being pulled over by the Highway Patrol.
From the Ohio State Highway Patrol...
"Troopers stopped a 2015 Ford Econoline van, with California registration, for a following too closely violation on Interstate 70 eastbound in Madison County at 10:46 a.m., on March 18. Criminal indicators were observed and a Patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed 70 pounds of marijuana and 1,000 hash oil jars in the vehicle. The contraband has a street value of $350,000. Trooper also recovered $7,569. The driver, Walter Delgado, 29, of Harbor City Calif., and passenger, Anthony Jochum, 26, of Cleveland Ohio were incarcerated in the Multi-County Jail and charged with possession and trafficking in marijuana, and possession of criminal tools, all second-degree felonies."
As you can see in the photo above their stash was hidden in makeshift guitar cabinets to look like a band on tour. Unfortunately sniffer dogs don't know what a band on tour looks like.
This might just be the most extreme edge break in hardcore yet. Although does trafficking drugs if you don't use them, still count as an edge break? As NWA stated, the rules of succeeding as a dopeman include not getting high off your own supply. Whether Walter followed the dopeman code or not remains to be seen.
