Sad news to hear of the passing of Trent Arklay (aka T.K. Steel) longtime drummer and guitarist in some of Australia's most influential punk and hardcore bands.

With a long list of bands to his credit, Trent played drums in Price Of Silence, Steadfast, Unit 1174, Buelah's Fix, Angry Kid, Biceptasauras, Raised By Wolves and guitar in Mid Youth Crisis (MYC), as well as some others we have probably missed.

Below is somewhat lifted from an MYC bio...

In December 1996, original One Inch Punch / MYC guitarist Heath left the band and was replaced by Trent in March 1997. Trent had previously played drums in Steadfast with MYC singer Steve. Trent went on to record guitar on the legendary MYC "Happiness & Authority" LP, as well as recording drums on the track "Life Plan From Birth" as regular drummer Jay took on vocal duties. Trent would later leave MYC to be replaced by Beltsy.

The passing of Trent comes almost 5 years to that of founding One Inch Punch guitarist Heath McAnally who passed away in April 2011.
