POSTBLUE have released a cover of David Bowie's "Space Oddity" for free download as a tribute to the icon's passing.

"A week ago I heard David Bowie had died. Somehow I had never considered that possible. Bowie was so many things - an enigma, an alien visiting earth. He seemed larger than life and surely not mortal like the rest of us. Like many Bowie fans, I felt as though I had lost a friend.

David Bowie affected millions of people across the world. He was a pop star and a household name, but throughout, a total weirdo and that resonated with me. His fluid attitude towards gender and sexuality served as a catalyst for self acceptance for many of my friends growing up. Above all, David Bowie was unapologetically himself in a world far less liberal than the one we live in today. We decided to record our version of the first Bowie song I ever heard - Space Oddity - as something of a tribute. You can stream or download the track for free on our bandcamp. We hope you enjoy it."
