Sad news today, to hear of the passing of Robert Mcallister, founding guitarist in IRON CHIC, CAPITAL and SECRET LIVES.

Apparently Robert passed away in his sleep overnight. We'd like to pass on our condolences to his friends and family.

Robert had recently parted ways with IRON CHIC and didn't tour Australia with the band in September of last year, but did play on all of their releases to date.

IRON CHIC released the following statement:

“It is with the heaviest of hearts and deepest regrets that we must say goodbye to a dear friend. Although we had recently parted ways it makes the reality no easier to bear. Every wild ride must come to an end so rest in peace Robert Mcallister and give our regards to Lemmy. We’ll miss you always.”

A support fund for Rob's family has been set up, so please donate if you can.

"Please help. The McAllister Family Memorial Fund aims to provide long-term support to the loved ones Robert McAllister (Iron Chic/Capital) left behind when he passed away on January 9, 2016. While other crowdsourcing pages have been established to provide immediate relief for Rob’s family in the aftermath of his passing, the McAllister Family Memorial Fund will serve as an ongoing resource to help Marisa, Rob’s partner, and Ramona, Rob’s daughter, in the weeks, months, and years to come.
