Touche Amore are streaming a cover of the National that will be pressed on the Condolences / Available 7” Flexi Disc.
This limited one time pressing is a single sided 7” with foil stamped label design and features 2 tracks not yet released on vinyl: “Condolences” reinterpreted with the full band (as played live on tour the last few years) and “Available” a cover of The National (previously on No Sleep Records “A Comp For Mom”) Copies here: http://bit.ly/1HEelvl
The Condolences / Available FLEXI 7” (for those unfamiliar) is a phonograph record made of a thin, flexible vinyl sheet with a molded-in spiral stylus groove, and is designed to be playable on a normal phonograph turntable. By nature, flexis have a history of being finicky due to their thinner material and quick production. (These were originally made to come as prizes in cereal boxes, etc. The quality isn’t perfect and neither is it’s playability. Lets be honest, they’re just really fun to own and collect.)
“A Comp For Mom is a special project i planned over the past month of my mom’s life, to release in her honor and to help raise funds for her medical bills. Now it will be released in memory of her. 100% of the proceeds will be going towards any medical bills/other expenses incurred after her passing, after that 100% of the proceeds will go into a Linda Hansen Memorial Fund.”
