It has been nearly seven years since the release of A Secret Death’s seminal self-titled effort - an album that changed the landscape of Australian metal and hardcore with a more gradual and subliminal power than overt, brutal force. And then… silence. Finally, in 2015, Epilogue is here to give the band the follow up it deserves. Produced by Mike Deslandes (Cosmic Psychos, Robotosaurus, Coerce), and mastered by Alan Douches (Converge, The Dillinger Escape Plan), the album sees the band pick up where they left off, and further extend into their vastly varied and chaotic songwriting prowess.
An instant return from the other side however it was not. 2013 saw the band reform and gradually re-tool their lineup, launching back onto the national touring circuit in support of US acts Norma Jean and Vanna, before following it up with a gigantic regional tour with Japanese legends Palm. A split 7” with Newcastle’s Safe Hands warmed the band back into the recording studio. With Epilogue let go into the world, in true A Secret Death style they now return to a temporary darkness…
