HIGHTIME ANNOUNCE SECOND ALBUM AND NATIONAL TOUR
Adelaide punk rockers deliver long-awaited album number two and prep for April Australian Tour.
Sounding like the modern day materialisation of every Fat Wreck Chords compilation of the late 90s, Hightimes second album Mother Crab delivers some sentimental and seriously satiating songwriting. A genius mish-mash, beer soaked riot of a time Mother Crab sees the band draw influences from some of the huge range of artists the quartet have toured with since inception of 2009.
Like a potent party cocktail, the LP mixes the melodies of The Flatliners, the urgency of Guttermouth and the menace of Frenzal Rhomb with their own distinctly Australian attitude. Its a delicious combination that translates effortlessly to the live stage. The Adelaide quartet have won the hearts and high fives of their peers and audiences alike, touring relentlessly for the last five years in support of debut album Ishi Prende and accompanying live DVD.
Theyve now plotted out an East Coast and Adelaide album launch for April. The return to the tour van feels long overdue, but the tyres are pumped, the engine is oiled and a wild ride is guaranteed. Dont miss them when they arrive at your local.
