Central Coast hardcore punk band CHOKE have mutually parted ways with their singer Dan, who announced his reasons for leaving via the band's facebook page. The good news is the band will continue on with a new singer in the future.

"This is Dan speaking- I have decided to move on from the band for personal reasons. We are all still the best of mates and choke will continue with a new vocalist in the coming months. My life has become hard to juggle and those who know me well know that I dont do things in halves, therefore giving this band half my effort recently is something I dont want to continue to do. The show at the small ballroom this saturday will be my last show. I hope some friends will make an effort to come out. We are on at 9:00pm I believe. I am so thankful for all the friends I have made while doing this band."

Choke released their debut EP 'War of the Suburbs' 7" earlier in the year through Splitting Headache Records.
