Following their recent sold out Australian tour and having just returned from an extensive adventure through the UK and Europe, road weary wanderers, The Smith Street Band have announced plans to hit the studio to record album number three.
 
The band has revealed the new album will be recorded at Melbourne’s iconic Sing Sing Studios as well as a secluded location in the Otway Ranges. The follow up to 2013’s five track EP Don't Fuck With Our Dreams will be recorded with Matt Voigt and Sam Johnson, and produced by Jeff Rosenstock, frontman of now defunct US act Bomb The Music Industry!
 
Relentless touring has seen The Smith Street Band slowly winning over the world, with the past few years seeing the band play all over Australia, China, Europe and the United States. The most recent trip to Europe included sold out shows throughout the UK and a mainstage appearance at Belgium’s Groezrock festival. Having just landed back on home soil The Smith Street Band play a run of sold out Australian dates with Brisbane mates Violent Soho prior to commencing work on the new album.
 
The eagerly awaited third album from Melbourne’s The Smith Street Band is set for release later this year through Poison City Records.
