NIGHT BIRDS have released a new instrumental track, "Hope for the Best (Expect the Worst)" taken from their upcoming "Monster Surf" EP available on wallriderecords.com on May 12.

The four-song EP is a twangy blast of surf-punk fun that owes as much to Agent Orange as it does to Dick Dale. But the guys in Night Birds also pay homage to one of their favorite filmmakers, Mel Brooks, with a reverb-swamped, vocal-free rendition of "Hope For The Best (Expect The Worst)," a Brooks-penned song from his 1970 classicThe Twelve Chairs.
