Sumeru will play their first Sydney headline show on Friday April 11. Joining Sumeru are Melbourne four piece Watchtower, Deadly Visions, Chroma and Vile Ways.
In December last year Blunt Magazine named Sumeru in their top 20 Australian bands to watch for 2014 and now after spending the summer months travelling up and down the east coast Sumeru will come home to Sydney to headline for the first time at new inner city venue, The Valve Basement Bar.With a debut E.P. released in 2013 to a solid reception both locally and internationally Sumeru has begun work on new material for a follow up. Joining Sumeru are Melbourne's heavy riff lords Watchtower, the young four piece recently released a live recording from Pony Bar on their Bandcamp site, the 1 song 11 minute smoke infused epic is well worth checking out. Also on the bill are Deadly Visions, a Sydney hardcore band formed at the beginning of 2011 to play fast aggressive hardcore, Northern Beaches surf doomsters Chroma and new outfit Vile Ways; four dudes from Sydney playing fast, angry d-beat hardcore. Entry is $10 with Doors at 7:30pm and bands kicking off from 8:00pm.
