Melbourne hardcore outfit OUR SOLACE are back with their long-overdue, debut full-length, “Death and What It Means to Live.” Released March 20th 2014, the 10 track debut album is now available via their bandcamp

Recorded in Melbourne with Daniel and Tim Emond “Death and What It Means to Live,” took shape over a lengthy period. After close to a year of experimentation, fine-tuning vocals and adjusting song structures, the album’s final touches were handled by the legendary Alan Douches (Modern Life is War, Converge, Comeback Kid, Foundation).

Whilst musically the album’s roots are firmly planted within fast, melodic hardcore “Death and What It Means to Live” is, nonetheless, unafraid to offer listeners some diversity.  Here, fleshed out melodic sounds mix freely with moments of breakneck pace and intensity.

As the album’s title may suggest “Death and What It Means to Live” is also a very human and personal work. Lyrically, the album draws upon our common struggles to find hope, love and meaning faced with the pain of loss and the totality of death.

In addition to the album, OUR SOLACE has also released a new video clip for the track: “This Is What Happens Next.”  The video contains snippets of footage from the bands run of shows with NZ hardcore heavy weights ANTAGONIST A.D.
