Wattie Buchan, the 57-year-old frontman of THE EXPLOITED was recently taken to hospital after suffering a heart attack on stage at Republica De Musica in Portugal on February 13th. The show was a stop on the “Tour of Chaos” with Napalm Death and Hatebreed.
Naturally the band have pulled out of the tour and had this to say: “We are sorry to say that due to a severe illness that Wattie can't continue with the tour. He will be in hospital for at least a week. Thanks for all the get-well messages.”
The band had been working on a new album, the first in 11 years, which is due out this year.
