POSTBLUE TO RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM VIA POISON CITY RECORDS MARCH 21

Poison City Records are stoked to announce the release of Postblue’s snarling debut album ‘I Hope They’re Praying For Me’ on March 21.
 
Coalescing creative forces from Byron Bay and Melbourne, this powerful alt-rock/ shoegaze trio quickly established themselves as an exciting new musical presence upon inception over the summer of 2012. Armed with their explosive debut ‘Lap Year’ 7” and a dynamic sound that lurches between 90’s influenced alternative rock and scuzzy punk anthems, Postblue invoke the direct sound and unpretentious aesthetic of decades gone by and meld it with the fire of youth.

Postblue have consistently toured up and down the East Coast, sharing stages with the likes of Violent Soho, Title Fight, Daylight and The Smith Street Band along the way and scored coveted slots on the Poison City Weekender and Splendour in the Grass festivals.

Inspired in part by guitarist/vocalist Riley McEvoy’s recent series of bizarre, religious dreams, ‘I Hope They’re Praying For Me’ was recorded and mixed by the band’s drummer and sound engineer Joe Paine in the basement of his house in northern NSW before being forwarded into the caring hands of Alan Douches at West West Side mastering in New York.

To celebrate the album's release, Postblue will take to the road for a comprehensive lap of the map with wild stablemates Luca Brasi in March/April.
