After a 5-year hiatus WASHED UP RECORDS has teamed up with ALL IN TOGETHER BOOKING to do exactly what previous SIKE YOUR MIND’s have done. Give you a chance to celebrate your homegrown talent in it’s native MELBOURNE.
This time around SIKE YOUR MIND is spread over 2 days at 2 venues with 20 of Australia’s finest punk & hardcore bands. The first day being 18+ set over 2 stages and the second day looking after kids and grown ups alike with an all ages show in a venue TBC.
Melbourne’s angriest IRON MIND will headline Saturday and Sydney’s happiest ENDLESS HEIGHTS will headline the Sunday.
With IRON MIND’S brand new self titled LP heading your way via RESIST RECORDS in January, this could be your first chance to hear some fresh songs in a live setting by the 5 piece who have spent the last 2 years touring hard and writing what could be the most anticipated Australian Hardcore release in the last few years. If you’ve heard new track ‘DIVIDE’ and you saw their set at Break The ice 2013 it’s safe to say what you can expect at SIKE 2014…. Hard riffs, intense vocals, and crowd wise…. absolute carnage.
Closing off the weekend will be Sydney’s ENDLESS HEIGHTS. Up until a few weeks ago, this may have been a shock headliner to some, but after the previews from upcoming release ‘NEW BLOOM’ via BROKEN HIVE RECORDS, the nicest guys in hardcore are more than capable of being the cherry on top of the SIKE cake. After a support slot on the DAYLIGHT tour starting in a few weeks, this show will be the bands first Australian headline show since the debut LP’s release, so expect an incredible emotion filled set, jam packed with brand new songs and some of your old favourites.
Adding to this will be Sydney’s Relentless who have been touring Australia & America hard since the release of their ‘TURN THE CURSE’ LP. Heading to Europe next week for a month long stint with DEEZ NUTS, SIKE will be the perfect welcome home for the Sydney lads.
The rest of the fest is filled with old dogs and new tricks who are all more than deserving of what we would say is Australia’s finest.
