Newcastle hardcore band FOUND MY DIRECTION have announced they will be reuniting to pay tribute to the release of their landmark debut 7 inch "Before Their Time". Originally released in 1998, some 15 years ago, the band have revealed plans to play the 6 song 7 inch in full along with a few other fan favourites from other releases.
The lineup for FMD will feature former members Drew on vocals, Nigel on guitar, Brad on drums, Rod on guitar, and Dave Warzone from Pitfall / Bare Knuckle Fight filling in on bass. Original bassplayer Jon has since relocated to Perth and is a slim chance to play, along with original drummer Graz who also played on the 7 inch.
Forming in Maitland, NSW in 1997 Found My Direction quickly rose to become one of the most revered bands in the Newcastle & Australian Hardcore scene. After a split demo with fellow NCHC band, Arms Reach, FMD released the highly regarded 7" "Before Their Time", the first release for the very well respected Resist Records. FMD has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in HC/Punk, including, Madball, Strife, Dropkick Murphy's, Mindsnare and Frenzal Rhomb to name just a few. Not long after releasing "The Path Remains" in 2001, FMD decided to call it quits, "leaving behind a classic legacy of Australian Hardcore" (restassuredzine), members then went on to be in bands such as; Life. Love. Regret. The Deadwalk, Taking Sides, Dropsaw & Bare Knuckle Fight.
