Israel isn’t a country that springs to mind when rattling off thriving punk-rock scenes, in fact the Middle East probably wouldn’t even rate a mention. That’s not to say it’s not alive and hasn’t been for a number of years now. Israel’s own Useless ID have been representing their homeland for almost 20 years now and stand on their own as the most successful representation of punk rock from the Middle East and are heading down under in November 2013.
A swag full of studio albums, EP’s and splits was added to in 2012 with the Fat Wreck Chords release “Symptoms”. Recorded at The Blasting Room by two of the biggest players in the game, Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore, the album take’s a more serious and introspective path for the band while opening more doors than ever before.
Joining the Israelites will be the punk-rock entourage from Perth, The Decline. The band have lost their virginity twice in recent months, one time to their first vinyl release as part of the “A Punk Four Way” split and one time to their first European tour. The melodic skate-punk band have been working their arses off since the 2011 release of their second album “Are You Going to Eat That?” and don’t intend on slowing down anytime soon, especially not during this tour.
