Despite breaking up over two years agao, Killing The Dream have posted an unreleased song titled "Ambition Deficit" that was originally meant to appear on the "In Place, Apart" album released by Deathwish back in 2005.
"Last month, I got on KTD's twitter and facebook and promised to post an unreleased KTD joint if people voted for my school's video to win money in some chain store's contest, and I'll be damned if they didn't walk away with a 3rd place consolation prize. Since I'm a man of my word, and since Tre and the Deathwish family are awesome, we present "Ambition Deficit."
A quick word about this song- it was recorded in the winter of 2005 during the "In Place, Apart" sessions with Kurt Balou at God City. We initially recorded it to be the opening song on the record, but realized it wasn't as good as "Rough Draft (An Explanation)," so we just axed the song altogether. Hopefully this tempers your expectations a little- this is an intro song that we didn't think was good enough to put on our first LP. With that said, I always thought it was a pretty good song, so it's cool to finally let people hear it. And if you don't like it, we broke up two years ago, so we really don't give a shit.
Thanks for everything,
Eli and Killing the Dream"
