The Smith Street Band's new 5-track release "Don't Fuck With Our Dreams" is out in just a few weeks time (Aug 09), so the band have announced two very small celebratory EP launches at Melbourne's legendary Old Bar, with a whole heap of good friends joining them. Tickets are very limited, so get in quick.
Frontman Wil Wagner explains the impetus for these shows: "A little while ago our mates at the Old Bar said that they were in a bit of trouble. After speaking to them they said that the problem was that (on top of all the other impending shit live music venues deal with) bands just weren't coming through and playing there as much as they had in the past. The Old Bar gave us so many of our first shows and has been a real home to young, up and coming bands in Melbourne for a very long time! So in an attempt to get people through the best little pub in the world we'll be doing two shows/parties there to launch our new 10" "Don't Fuck With Our Dreams"!
The band have also revealed that a heap of amazing local bands that will join their August/September national tour with US pals Cheap Girls and Joyce Manor.
