Matthias Lee from Germany has spent the last two years working on a book about the history and development of hardcore music in more than 60 countries. Now everything is written and all photographs and flyers have been collected, he needs help to raise the remaining 8,500 Euros to cover publishing costs. The book and compilation CD will feature input from Australian bands Outright, Relentless and Ill Vision.

The book takes you on a journey through the development and history of hardcore music in more than 60 countries.

Worldwide Hardcore is a journey that reflects the development of hardcore music in different continents. The disappearing, change, and comparison of generations, the origin of DIY, the straight edge movement, and the clinch between subgenres is under discussion in the first part.

Protagonists and antagonists illustrate their stories and exchange their views. The second part gives you a good insight into the hardcore scene’s of 60 different countries. The book shows you the milestone of hardcore. It is a realistic view of the past and present.
