Since its birth in 1999, over 500 bands have played Obscene Extreme festival from almost every corner of the world, bringing with them a horde of diehard extreme music fans from across Europe and beyond to its home base in the Czech Republic.

What brings fans to Obscene Extreme is more than the cross selection of new and old underground grindcore, crust, punk, death metal, thrash metal, hardcore and everything in between, but the incredible atmosphere, the real DIY ethic and the true spirit of community. It doesn't matter where you're from or who you are, everyone is the same when they're in the pit!

For over a decade people have travelled the globe, driven across continents and slept in airports and railway stations to make it to Obscene Extreme, and now Obscene Extreme is coming to you – rolling into Mexico, Indonesia and Australia like the United Nations of Grind.

Be prepared to see some of Australia's finest extreme music alongside some great international bands. Unlike the shows happening in Europe, Indonesia and Mexico- Australia will be the first country to have the shows happening indoors. This is due to the extreme laws Australia has regarding the security, alcohol and facilities required to put a festival in outdoor spaces, in fact its a borderline police state!

These shows will happen at two of the best venues Australia has right now. Both venues are very well known for their contributions to keeping the live music scene healthy while caring for the fans and the bands of alternative and extreme music. These venues we have chosen will be The Tote Hotel and the Bendigo Hotel both are located in Collingwood, Melbourne Australia. These venues are a very close walking distance from each other and they are working with us to make sure this has a great atmosphere for everyone.
