Sydney band MILHOUSE have announced they are planning on breaking up with two upcoming shows in Sydney and Brisbane with Headaches looking like their last. The band have a new split 7" with Headaches due out this week via Midnight Funeral Records.
From the band...
"In more other news, the March 24th show is likely to be the last Milhouse show in Sydney for the foreseeable future. We have one more show the following weekend in Brisbane and we don't have plans for at least a little while after that.
In the event that we don't get around to playing/recording again, I just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who’s helped us over the last few years, it’s been freakin’ awesome! From Backwire Records to The Place in Melbourne, from bands like Smith St to Collapso to Luca Brasi to Grim Fandango, from all round awesome people like Tom Jenkins to Chris Cowburn to Sean "Chris Martin" Hotlicks to Tom @ Blackwire.
Thank you for your gear, your floor and your time.
To Dylan Adams and Craigos, nobody would have heard us without you two, lazy and cheap as we are, you guys really made Milhouse possible.
To everybody who has liked this page or bought our music (or even just listened to it) or bought our silly merchandise, thank you.
To anybody who has every come to Milhouse show and sung along to TL;DR, thank the hell out of you. The best of those moments are hard to describe, it didn’t feel like an audience and a band, it felt like a room full of people singing a song, and I’m just one of them. There’s no more humbling and fulfilling feeling. In the words of Lincoln le Fevre, it made me feel like part of something good.
You’re all awesome."
