50 Lions have announced their first two shows in over a year in Byron Bay Youth with Survival from the Gold Coast, Outsiders Code from Melbourne and locals Rain Dogs and Dead Ends. Look a little closely though at the frontmen of each band and there is quite an intertwined, star studded lineup on show.
Survival frontman Elmsy and Outsiders Code frontman Baina, both served time as guitarists in 50 Lions. While Rain Dogs features Winston McCall (Parkway Drive) on vocals, Winston of course is the older brother of 50 Lions frontman Oscar. While Dead Ends, who are also on the comeback trail and a band again, have Hugo Costin from Toy Boats on vocals playing a style not too disimilar from Defeater perhaps.
50 Lions also recently announced news of a new release in that of 7 inch "Pray For Nothing" boasting 3 new songs, one of which you can check out below the artwork.
Pre orders are now available for limited edition coloured vinyl through Resist Records here and Six Feet Under Records here.
SFU also currently have preorders avaialble for the US pressing of the SURVIVAL S/T 7 inch, the WARBRAIN / MINUS Split 7inch and the Vigilante "Quality Of Life" LP too.
