Pre-orders are now live for the “Lap Year” 7inch from Byron Bay band POSTBLUE via Rest Assured Records. Sounding like a hybrid of Texas Is The Reason and By A Thread mixed with the modern day styling of bands like Basement and Title Fight, these five songs have an immediate infectiousness to them.

Only 300 copies of this 7inch are being pressed, with a variety of multi-coloured designs, making each one a collectible. All copies will also come with an instant digital download.

POSTBLUE will be heading out on the road with Newcastle’s DISTANCE for a string of East Coast dates in January 2013.

The EP was recorded in the bedroom of drummer Joe Paine, a recent music production graduate from Byron’s SAE Institute, who along with his friend Aaron tracked the whole EP in a two day period. You can check out a video of the recording process below.
