Mudhoney have a new live DVD coming out from a 1988 performance captured in Berlin. The show marked the band's first live performance outside of the USA and captures the band at its peak.
Mudhoney's 1988 performance at the Berlin Independent Days festival was not only the band's first live show outside of the US, it was the first outside of the Pacific Northwest. Pre-dating even the release of their first EP on Sub Pop Records, the live recording captures the band at its primal peak, and represents some of the world-at-large's first exposure to the regional strain of rock that would soon come to be known as "grunge." The entire performance, recently uncovered in Berlin label !K7's video archive, will be released internationally on DVD on November 13th, featuring a new interview with Mark Arm and liner notes from journalist Stevie Chick.
