Despite just releasing a new album called "Uno!", Green Day have come to a halt after frontman Billie Joe was admitted to rehab following a meltdown at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas. It is the first of three albums in the ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tré! trilogy, a series of studio albums to be released from September 2012 to January 2013.

The band released the following statement about the meltdown..

"Billie Joe Armstrong is seeking treatment for substance abuse. We would like everyone to know that our set was not cut short by Clear Channel and to apologize to those we offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas. We regretfully must postpone some of our upcoming promotional appearances."

Below is the original info with the video. Something just doesn't seem right about it all. Was it a publicity stunt? A genuine outrage? Or delusional behaviour?

"Green Day's 45 minute set is cut to 25 minutes by iHeartRadio to make more room for Rihanna and Usher [Usher's set went 20 minutes longer than it was meant to] so Billie Joe armstrong stops halfway through Basket Case to play a new song only to realise that they have 1 minute left on the stage. He gets angry and complains before smashing his guitar and flipping the camera off during Green Days set at iHeart Radio music festival in Las Vegas."
